Masters Thesis, Binghamton University, NY
My research benchmarks the quality of 3D digital models made using conventional drone scanning against those made using much less expensive small UAV photogrammetry (SfM) and handheld lidar. I generate high-resolution models using different sensors and platforms for quality assessment.
Position: Graduate researcher
Date: August 2025 to present
Main responsibilities:
Execute precise data acquisition using DJI M350 + L2 (Lidar), DJI Neo (SfM), and Lixel K1 handheld lidar scanners to map complex campus infrastructure
Process raw spatial data with DJI Terra, Lixel Studio, and Pix4D mapper to produce points clouds, orthophotos, and 3D models
Co-register and clean point clouds with CloudCompare and ArcGIS Pro for comparative quality assessments
Present technical results to departmental thesis committee members

Street Naming & Property Addressing, Tema, Ghana
The goal of this Government of Ghana program was to identify and name all streets and number the properties along them. Metropolises/municipalities/districts were responsible for undertaking the exercise within their jurisdiction. My team was tasked to digitize streets and property boundaries from orthophotos to create a GIS database.
Position: Team member, GIS and data officer
Date: June 2014 to August 2024
Main responsibilities:
Digitized over 20,000 property boundaries and 1,200 street center lines from orthophotos using QGIS and field-validated the data with Q-fields to develop a functional GIS database
Participated in community meetings and advocacies to integrate local knowledge and cultural values into the project
Prepared and presented the project’s progress activities to executive management, including the mayor and other stakeholders
Collaborated with other members to successfully address within the Tema Metropolis, which helped in city management through easy navigation and tax collection
