Convert and integrate 3D data into GIS formats (e.g., 3D tiles, LAS/LAZ) for visualization, analysis, and sharing
Develop and maintain workflow documentation, processing parameters, and metadata to ensure reproducibility and data integrity
Undertake field mapping with Emlid Reach RTK GNSS Receivers and the Emlid Flow app to collect accurate coordinates
Validating and organizing GIS data (land use, code violation, transportation, etc.) and developing interactive web graphs and maps using ArcGIS Pro/Online to track changes resulting from the Johnson City Redevelopment project
Teaching
Leading discussions, tutorial groups, and laboratory sessions of 25 to 70 students
Proctoring and timely grading of assignments, quizzes, and exams to ensure academic integrity

Planned, trained and supervised spatial and non-spatial data collection for urban planning and management
Digitized, quality-checked (QA/QC), and integrated geospatial datasets from multiple sources (scanned georeferenced site plans, high-resolution orthophotos, CAD, and GNSS) into GIS environments to ensure accurate spatial data management
Performed spatial analysis (proximity, overlay, network analysis) to support planning and environmental decision-making
Prepared cartographic reports and maps to show the spatial relation and distributions of various features
Installed, updated, and troubleshot GIS and other software to ensure their smooth operation
Urban & Land Use Planning
Responded to inquiries from residents, developers, and elected officials about zoning, land use, building permitting, and other planning processes as a way of enhancing customer satisfaction
Evaluated development permit applications, subdivision proposals, and site plans through site inspections and technical reviews, ensuring full conformity with municipal zoning, EPA, and other agency standards
Conducted land use/land cover change analysis to guide climate adaptation and sustainable redevelopment
Prepared and updated the metropolis’ master plan, local plans, and zoning maps to reflect current and proposed land uses/zonings
Prepared planning reports (rezoning justifications, planning comments, and site analysis/suitability) and maps for public meetings and to support decision-making process
Coordinated and collaborated with engineers, planners, and stakeholders to support municipal planning initiatives
Management and Administration
Organized and participated in community/stakeholder meetings and hearings to present plans and recommendations to management and the community
